This watch is number 2 of a limited edition of 10 examples produced in 18k pink gold to celebrate Singapore's 40 years of Independence. 28 examples were also produced in stainless steel and another 2 in platinum.
The partnership between Glashütte Original and Meissen evinces the best of craftsmanship and skill - the precision of traditional watchmaking united with the art of fine hand fired porcelain. In the creation of these timepieces, a Meissen porcelain artisan paints the miniature scene on the dial with the finest of brushes and the porcelain is fired several times, in temperatures as high as 1,400øo, so as to create the lustre that Meissen is so revered for.
