Formed as a recumbent pigeon on tapered foot, with gold-set ruby eyes, in an associated silk and velvet lined wood case stamped 'K. Fabergé Moscow' beneath the Imperial warrant, scratched with inventory number under base
2¼ in. (6 cm.) long

Almost certainly acquired by Ivy Cavendish-Bentinck, née Gordon-Lennox (1887-1982), Duchess of Portland.
Thence by family descent.

Specialist note
