Cal. 28-520 C nickel-finished lever movement stamped with the Geneva seal, 35 jewels, Gyromax balance, free sprung regulator, engine-turned 18K gold rotor, grey ribbed dial, luminous baton numerals, luminous hands, outer Arabic five minute divisions, subsidiary dial for 60 minutes and 12 hours registers, window for date, water-resistant-type case of typical form, screw down crown, two angled rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, stainless steel Patek Philippe bracelet and hidden clasp, case, dial and movement signed

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated 20 February 2008, instructions, original fitted veneered presentation box and outer packaging.

Reference 5980 was introduced in 2006. It is, together with reference 5960, the first and only model fitted with Patek Philippe entirely in-house made chronograph calibre 28-520 C movement.
