Cal. 2894 nickel-finished lever movement, 37 jewels, mono-metallic balance, one minute revolving three arm tourbillon carriage visible through an aperture in the dial, black guilloché dial, applied Arabic and baton numerals, outer 1/5th seconds ring, inner 30 minute register with central hand, two fan-form sectors for power reserve and mainspring torque indicator, oversized rectangular-shaped case, ridged bezel, two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, sapphire crystal display back secured by four screws, case, dial and movement signed, platinum Audemars Piguet deployant buckle

Audemars Piguet introduced the Tradition of Excellence collection in 1999. The limited series of timepieces consists of eight individual models with 20 examples of each manufactured. The different examples focus on a particular horological feature. The present watch belonging to the third series is housed in the famed Edward Piguet rectangular case. The watch features a tourbillon similar to its predecessors however includes a chronograph, power reserve and Dynamograph for mainspring torque. Another unique feature of the watch is the chronograph minute register which is incorporated in to the central zone of the watch.
