Lot 44 CHATEAU LAFLEUR
Pomerol's Château Lafleur, owned by Jacques and Sylvie Guinaudeau produces some of the finest and rarest examples of red Bordeaux from their 4.5 hectares of vineyards planted with equal proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Production is very small at approximately 1,000 cases per year, and the utmost care is taken in the vineyard and winery, for example harvesting is done in successive tries to ensure optimal grape ripeness, which adds to the desirability and allure of their wines. Anthony Hanson MW considers Lafleur "A harmonious intricacy of perfumes and flavours, with luscious silky texture and great length of aftertaste are hallmarks of this chteau.' The 1982 is unquestionably an outstanding wine and will provide enjoyment for many decades to come.
