Specialist note

The arms are those of Thompson for Richard Thompson, Esq., of Kirby Hall, Yorkshire, who married in 1803, Elizabeth, daughter of John Turton, of Sugnall Hall, Staffordshire. The handles are in the form of the Thompson crest.
