signed 'Rodin' (on the front); inscribed with the foundry mark 'F.BARBEDIENNE, Fondeur' (on the left side); inscribed 'K' (on the rim of the base)
bronze with brown patina
Height: 23 5/8 in. (60 cm.)
Conceived in 1886 and reduced in 1904; this bronze version cast between 1910 and 1918 in an edition of between 65 and 69
