Ovoid, on circular foot applied with flower heads, the fluted neck applied with grapevine and flower heads, the leaf-clad handle with satyr-mask join, the body engraved Walter Frazar Burrell 1897, marked under base, also marked 6540/9070

Specialist note

Walter Frazar Burrell was born in Portland, Oregon in 1863. He owned large agricultural interests in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, and sat on the board of directors of the Oregon Railway & Navigation Company. In 1895, he married Constance Montgomery, also of Portland. He died in Santa Barbara, California, in 1946.
