With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1951 and its subsequent sale on January 30th of the following year.

To the best of our knowledge the present watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 1491 from 1940 until approximately 1965. The present watch is from the second series using the 27SC calibre.
