The following lots were commissioned by the late Count Palmieri from the top Parisian embroidery house, Lesage. Lesage are the embroiderers of choice to the couture industry, but here have collaborated with a private collector to produce waistcoats of superlative work, most with matching accessories.

patchworked with dyed mink with emblems of all the countries of the European Union, including the Eifel Tower, Big Ben, The Bridge of Sighs, a windmill and other European emblems

Specialist note

The coat would seem to be a special commission to celebrate European Union. It has to post-date 1973, as it includes a splendid representation of Big Ben in prominent position on the front of the coat.
