Autograph letter signed ('Renoir') to [his patron] Paul Bérard, [postmarked Bougival], 1 September [1884], proposing to visit him in a week or so, referring to the prospects of painting one of the Robart girls, 'if she has not yet been seduced [si elle n'est pas encore seduite]' as well as the redheaded daughter of Dr Monot ('Je ferai une visite au docteur Monot pour tâcher de voir sa fille Rousse, ou blond ardent'); he will need another day or two of good weather before leaving, 1½ pages, 8vo, on a bifolium, with envelope.
