Decorated with an amorial surrounded by foliate motifs, impressed manufacturer's mark with painted 'Fatto in Fabbrica W. De Morgan & Co. London 1891', and an 'F' monogram within a Star of David

Specialist note

Farini is probably best known for his association with the seminal studio potter William De Morgan. For a dish in the Victoria & Albert Museum made for De Morgan in 1890 and painted by Farini (also signed with his monogram within a Star of David), see William Gaunt and M.D.E.
