The inscription reads 'PRESENTED TO H.R.H. THE DUKE OF KENT, G.C.V.O. ON HIS ADMISSION AS THE FIRST HONORARY FREEMAN OF THE CITY OF KAMPALA 8TH OCTOBER 1962'.
