A COLLECTION OF JEWELLERY
Comprising a diamond and enamel Jubilee brooch, designed as a pale blue entwined ribbon with diamond terminals and pendant drop with commemorative inscription; an early 20th century Russian blue chalcedony and diamond pendant with stylised initial M beneath Royal duchess' coronet; an oval mesh-link bracelet; and two antique fob seals; a plaited loop bangle with purple and green paste terminals; a silver-gilt cross of St. Andrews with cyrillic lettering to the reverse; a cut-cornered rectangular pendant with black enamel decoration, with no. 253, French assay marks for gold; a Byzantine nomisma pendant; an early 19th century swivel fob seal with an agate seal and an amethyst seal (chipped); a Russian devotional pendant, with inscription, a necklace with zodiac signs; and a circular pendant dated '21 juin 19', inscribed 'Hans Gospina'. The inscription on the diamond and enamel brooch reads 'Victoria Imperatrix 20th June 1837 1897' commemorating the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria, Empress of India (1819-1901).
The initial on the chalcedony pendant is almost certainly for Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent (1906-1968). (13)
