Oblong 2° (362 x 533mm). 11 lithographic plates after Seale, 10 of which hand-coloured and one hand-tinted, 8 mounted lithographic illustrations, 1 of which hand-coloured and 4 tinted. (Tear in the margin of the subscriber's leaf, lower outer corner of title, dedication leaf and first plate creased, most plates with some spotting, light soiling, staining or offsetting.) Contemporary half leather, lettered in gilt on the upper cover (extremities rubbed, hinges broken). Provenance: Philip Gosse (bookplate) -- Quentin Keynes (sold, Christie's, 07 April 2004, lot 91).
