Supplied to David, 3rd Earl of Mansfield (d.1840) and by descent at Scone Palace, Perthshire, Scotland until sold Christie's King Street, 24 May 2007, lot 405.

Specialist note

The table, with Grecian Elizabethan black ribbon inlay and triumphal arched trestles, reflects the handsome baronial antique gothic fashion employed at Scone Palace by the architect William Atkinson (d.1839).
