Specialist note

Amongst the rarest gems within the Rolex chronograph family of any reference must be considered examples featuring the much sought-after pulsometre scale instead of the more commonly found double telemetre and tachymetre indications. Often made to special order for a physician, the pulsometre allows measuring the number of heartbeats per minute. Usually calibrated for 15 or 30 beats, the hand is stopped at the patient's 15th or 30th heartbeat; the scale on the dial then indicating the relevant frequency per minute.

According to our researches and extensive conversations with the world leading Rolex scholars, it appears that the present reference 6034 in stainless steel is the only example featuring such pulsation scale calibrated for 30 heartbeats in blue.

This watch is not only an outstanding rarity in very good overall condition but most importantly also an extremely attractive chronograph, one of the best-looking watches for daily wear.

A variety of references 6034 with pulsometre scale are described and illustrated in I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 232 & 233, 250 & 251.
