Hermanus van Brussel (Haarlem 1763-1815 Utrecht)

Van Regteren Altena believes that the artist is F.A. Milatz (1763-1808); however, Milatz would have been only 31 years old at the time the present portrait was painted, which may not seem compatible with the age of the sitter.
