The rectangular padded green and bee motif-covered seat above elliptical S-scroll standards centred by a flowerhead joined by a turned stretcher
13½ in. (34 cm.) high; 18½ in. (47 cm.) wide; 14 in. (36 cm.) deep

Specialist note

This curule stool represents one of the signature forms of the neo-classical period, and exists in a wide range of variations. It is similar in design to the work of the Boston upholsterer William Hancock who was active between 1819-1849.
