Cal. 1560 nickel-finished lever movement, 26 jewels, the black gloss dial with luminous dot, baton and dagger numerals, luminous mercedes hands, sweep centre seconds, in tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with black revolving bezel calibrated to 60 units, screw back, screw down crown with pointed crown guards, stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet with clasp stamped 1.67, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

The present watch is from the early series of reference 5512, featuring a black gloss dial and gilt printing, omitting the designation "Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" of later versions. It is furthermore fitted with the pointed crown guards whereas subsequently produced ref. 5512 models show the rounded shoulders. For this reason, the present model is also known as the "Cornino", meaning "small horn" Submariner.
