Probably Inuit, late 19th or early 20th centuries
carved from three pieces of bone and ivory, the head in the form of a bear's head, mouth open and residual polychroming to the mouth, lips, eyes and nose. Joined to the shaft at the neck and tail with baleen collars. Displayed on a teak stand with brass support arms.
