Mikhail Ivanovich Scotti (1814-1861)

Mikhail Ivanovich Scotti is a renouned Russian-born artist whose father was Italian. He worked extensively with historical and allegorical subjects matters common in both Russian and Italian styles. The present work was created during the years he spent in Italy, 1838-1843.
