Waxed prints such as the present lot are rare and this view of Lacock Abbey is an early and personal example. According to Larry J. Schaaf, the unwaxed negative of this image is in The National Media Museum, Bradford [1937-2540] and he records only two other unwaxed prints of this image: one in Bradford and another in the Agfa Photo-Historama Collection, Cologne.
