Specialist note
The ferrule is engraved G. Sazerac/de Forge/Souvenir and dated at the heel plate 1874. This violin bow is one of four from a full quartet of presentation bows (two violin, one viola and one cello bow) made by François Nicolas Voirin for the firm of Gand and Bernardel Frères in 1874.
