專家說明
Launched in 1967, the Sea-Dweller reference 1665 was the first Rolex wristwatch designed for use in saturation diving. It featured a Rolex patent valve in the case band, first developed on the Submariner model, to allow helium and other gases to escape, which would enable the watch to stand compression at deep depths.
Wonderfully complete with its original accessories along with a collection of service records from Rolex over the decades, the present lots features a dial belonging to the 'Mark III' series of the Double Red Sea-Dweller, distinguished by the printing on its dial. The 'double red' text is defined with a smaller lower line. Further, the coronet at the top is well-defined with a clear opening at the bottom compared to the earlier 'Mark II' dials. Additionally, the '6' in '610m' is open and correct to this series.
