Two 'Persian' small plates, late 19th century
glazed ceramic
Each painted in the 'Iznik' style in blue, turquoise, green and mauve, the larger plate with ten radiating carnation blooms centering a turquoise carnation on a white ground, the smaller plate with a border of six trailing tulip buds surrounding a roundel of three blue carnations with interlacing stems, each plate with concentric blue and turquoise bands to its underside
