專家說明

A rare form in Federal-era America but popular in Ireland, cellarettes were made in greater numbers in Maryland, which was home to a large Irish population at the time (Charles F. Montgomery, American Furniture: The Federal Period (New York, 1966), p. 434). Furthermore, the inlaid ornament and boldly reeded legs illustrate designs favored in Baltimore.
