Watches set with precious stones are amongst the rarest and most desirable watches crafted by Rolex. The bezel, from which the nickname “SARU” originates from, is an amalgam of the words “Sa”pphire and “Ru”by. It echoes with red and blue gemstones, meant to resemble the “Pepsi” bezel.

For the present model, a choice of either a black dial or alternatively, a diamond dial could be chosen. Similarly, the yellow gold Oyster bracelet was available with a choice of standard polishing, or diamond-set center links. The present watch features a gloss black dial, yellow gold polished Oyster bracelet, diamond-set case, and gem-set bezel. Reference 116758SR has a surprisingly subtle appearance, considering the all-gold construction and precious stone settings.
