This hugely impressive and highly complicated horological heavyweight was created to mark 10 years of collaboration between Ferrari and Girard-Perregaux and to pay tribute to Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the great Italian sports car maker. This unique example was made specially for the present owner, a great and important friend of the brand. His initials have been specially printed on the dial in the centre of the 24-hour subsidiary dial.

TRIBUTE TO ENZO FERRARI
To celebrate ten years of fruitful collaboration and to celebrate the Enzo Ferrari model, the designers at Girard-Perregaux Manufactory created a master timepiece whose manifold technical and aesthetic details perfectly harmonise with the concept of Formula 1.

The crystal display case back reveals the totally revived version of the highly coveted Tourbillon with three gold Bridges – an icon of the brand and its most instantly recognizable movement. The gold of the Tourbillon's emblematic three arrows makes a vivid contrast with the plate, whose surface has been skillfully hand-guilloched with circular pattern. The barrel-drum is decorated with a motif from the Enzo's engine that only the most astute of connoisseurs will identity. The Tribute to Enzo Ferrari Tourbillon also marked the end of the “Girard-Perregaux Pour Ferrari” partnership.

THE FERRARI ENZO is a 12-cylinder mid-engine Berlinetta named after the company's founder, Enzo Ferrari. The super automobile is one of the most powerful naturally aspirated production car in the world. It was built in 2003 using Formula 1 technology, such as a carbon-fibre body, Formula 1 style sequential shift transmission and carbon-ceramic brake discs. The engine is Ferrari's F140 6.0 L V12 with 4 valves per cylinder, dual overhead cams and variable valve timing.

GIRARD-PERREGAUX THREE GOLDEN BRIDGES
One of the most instantly recognizable and most attractive watch movements ever created, it was developed by Constant Girard by 1860. The design of three parallel bridges securing the barrel, centre wheel and balance wheel was revolutionary at the time combining as it does both precision watchmaking and aesthetics. In 1884, Constant Girard submitted to the United States Patent Office a patent of the design of the movement “Tourbillon with three gold bridges.” The design went on to be awarded a Gold Medal at the 1889 International Exposition in Paris.
