The present timepiece is a highly attractive and very well-preserved representive of the Daytona reference 16528. Reference 16528 was launched at the 1988 Baselworld and equipped with the now legendary Zenith ‘El Primero’ movement, the firm’s first automatic movement.

The cherished possession of a private collector, the present wristwatch is offered in very good overall condition. It is cased in 18k gold and features a superb mother-of-pearl dial with diamond-set hour markers. Wristwatches with mother-of-pearl dials were usually produced in a limited number of examples, due to the difficulty of working such a fragile material as well as keeping the high Rolex standards of quality.
