AN ORMOLU-MOUNTED MEISSEN PORCELAIN MODEL OF A CAPARISONED CAMEL

Berling, Königlich Sächsische Porzellanmanufaktur Meissen 1710-1910, Dresden, 1911, pg. 28, table 10, fig. 6 and another is in the Toledo Museum of Art, Ohio (museum no. 1956.61). Another pair in the C.H. Fischer Collection, sold by Lempertz, Cologne, 22-25 October 1906, lots 316 and 317 and illustrated pl. XII (illustration unavailable and unchecked), and a pair were in the Klemperer Collection illustrated by Ludwig Schnorr von Carolsfeld, Porzellansammlung Gustav von Klemperer, Dresden, 1928, pl. 87, nos. 769 and 770. A single ormolu-mounted version from the René Fribourg Collection, sold by Sotheby's, London, on 25 June 1963, lot 27.
