'Quest’opera fa parte delle prime scritture cucite su carta, interi libri composti da fotocopie con interventi in filo o pagine sciolte. In questa serie in particolare Maria ha aggiunto la tela che poi la porterà nei primi anni '80 a ideare i libri su stoffa con pagine e pagine di scritture cucite, illeggibili, dove ognuno di noi può identificare la propria storia, con pagine nere o pagine chiare, con cancellazioni o scritture sicure, con fili che possono essere ricordi che si legano con altre pagine. Ci sono tante interpretazioni per libri cuciti, l'unica cosa certa è che Maria diceva che ogni opera d'arte parla in modo diverso a seconda di chi la guarda, perché in ognuno di noi crea uno stato d’animo diverso, perché ognuno di noi ha una storia di vita e una sensibilità diversa'

'This work is part of the first writings stitched on paper, entire books composed of photocopies with interventions in thread or unrelated pages. In this series in particular Maria added canvas, which would later lead her in the early 1980s to design books on cloth with pages and pages of sewn writings, illegible, where each one of us can identify our own story, with black or light-coloured pages, with erasures or confident writings, with threads that could be memories that bind with other pages. There are many interpretations for sewn books, the only certainty is that Maria used to say that every work of art speaks differently depending on who is looking at it, because in each of us it creates a different state of mind, because each of us have a different life story and a different sensitivity'

Artist's Resale Right ("Droit de Suite"). Artist's Resale Right Regulations 2006 apply to this lot, the buyer agrees to pay us an amount equal to the resale royalty provided for in those Regulations, and we undertake to the buyer to pay such amount to the artist's collection agent.
