The present all-gold version Reference 16808 is a good blend of sporty and casual great for many occasions. The gilt graphics on the present dial are particular to the gold version of the reference and befit the watch perfectly. Unique is the slight colour change depending on the angle at which the watch is seen, from blue to purple pink.

The transitional Submariner, 16800 series, differs from its predecessor 1680 by a deep rating to 1000 ft (300 m), sapphire crystal, quick-set date function and the entirely new movement caliber 3035.
