Offered in very good overal condition and fresh to the market, the dial design of the present 3974 is certainly one of the most attractive seen on this model. The 'powerful' looking black dial will not go unnoticed to collectors. Highly charismatic, it was fitted to the present wristwatch at the request of a previous owner. An extremely rare find, black dials are part of the most coveted versions to be found on the reference 3974. Although originally born with a silver opalin the timepiece is made highly appealing through the beautiful black color and yellow gold contrast.

According to our researches, it is believed that the present reference 3974 is the only known example with a black dial and gold applied hour markers.

The impressive case of highest quality supplied by the famous casemaker Jean-Pierre Hagmann of Geneva, his hallmark JPH stamped underneath the lower left lug.
