專家說明

At this time, Winters was working in Paris with Picasso’s last master painter, Aldo Crommelynck, who gave Winters an extensive introduction to etching. Winters traveled to Paris four times a year, each time for two to three week sessions. To Winters, Crommelnyck was a master craftsman, who had collaborated with many of the most important artists of the twentieth century. His prints during this period were not only influenced by Crommelnyck, but also constrained by time and logistics – Winters was pressured to complete his work in a single session.
