A SILK-ON-LINEN NEEDLEWORK PICTORIAL OF THE WELCH FAMILY GENEALOGY

The Welch family lived in Cape Elizabeth, Maine where genealogic needlework was very popular. This piece is consistent with examples from Maine with its rose-vine border and pictorial scene in the lower half.
