The poem has been translated by John T. Carpenter: Yama no ha ni/ tsubame wo kaesu/ irihi kana: "The setting sun—/ over the mountain ridge/ sends the swallows home (go to: https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/60028123). A second edition is known published by Fujihiko, see Cynthea J. Bogel and Israel Goldman, Hiroshige Birds and Flowers, (New York, 1988), cat. no. 9.
