專家說明
The white and yellow gold reference 4119 was launched in 1971, the bracelet links and case of same shape and with similarly textured bezel. The links contain white gold plates set with fragments of chalcopyrite and surrounded by bronze powder, resembling butterfly wing motifs. Due to the difficulties of producing these plates the model was made in a very limited series only.
Consigned by a private collector and in very well preserved overall condition the present ref. 4119 is furthermore believed to be the only second example of this rare timepiece to appear in public to date.
Chalcopyrite
Chalcopyrite is a mineral also known as Peacock Ore because of its iridescent green, blue, pink, purple, and gold colours resembling the feathers of a peacock. The colours originate from the oxidation of copper and iron in the crystal.
