Made in a very exclusive limited edition of only 10 pieces, the RM010 Paris Boutique Special was designed specifically for Richard Mille’s boutique located at 2, Place Vendome, Paris.
To the best of our knowledge the present watch is the first example of the Paris Boutique Edition to be offered at international auction and gives collectors the opportunity to acquire one of the trophy watches of this landmark Richard Mille reference.
Featuring an “all black” DLC-treated case with matching black rubber strap and DLC-treated buckle, the white dial ring contrasts elegantly with the rich black finish of the case.
The RM010 is one of the key models of the brand’s visual identity today and is a highly sought-after model by Richard Mille enthusiasts. After a year of research to develop the case, the RM010 was launched as the skeletonized version of the famous RM005, the first automatic movement to feature the variable geometry rotor, it is both impressive and very attractive. The variable geometry rotor is an ingenious self-winding mechanism which gives the wearer the option of adapting the winding to their activity level, such as sports or leisure. By adjusting the six-positional setting of the rib, the rotor’s inertia is modified to either speed up the winding process in the case of minimal arm and hand movements, or slow it down during high activity sports, thus adapting to the owner’s individual lifestyle.
