In August 2001, Richard Mille launched his first watch, the Tourbillon RM 001. Following its success, it was followed by the Tourbillon RM 002, such as the present watch offered in this Sale. In 2002, Richard Mille introduced the Tourbillon RM 003 with dual-time indicator.

The main features of the present RM 002 are the one minute tourbillon, the torque indication which displays the actual strength of the mainspring and the co-axial button in the crown to select neutral, winding or hand-setting positions, very much like changing gears in a race car
