(Possibly) Acquired by Robert Bussler, Overseer of Pictures for the House of Prussia, on behalf of Prince Friedrich Wilhelm, future Emperor Friedrich III (1831-1888), in 1872, by whom gifted in 1878 to his wife,
Princess Victoria (1840-1901), and by descent to their son,
Emperor Wilhelm II (1859-1941), and by descent to his son,
Prince Eitel Friedrich (1883-1942).
with Fritzes Konsthandel, Stockholm, by 1928, where acquired by,
Private collection, Sweden, and by descent to the present owners.
