The celebrated "Officier" model was made to commemorate Patek Philippe's 150th Anniversary in April 1989. Reference 3960's design was influenced by the first wristwatches of the early 20th century with a rounded bezel and features an officer-style case back that, when opened, reveals the 150th anniversary engraving and movement number. It was available in a limited edition of 2000 pieces in yellow gold such as the present lot, 150 pieces in white gold and 50 pieces in platinum.
