專家說明

The American designer Garrick C. Stephenson (1927-2007) was a true collector with an instinctive eye and arbiter of taste. After studying at Yale and the Parsons School of Design, he joined the New York firm McMillen & Co. before founding his own company in 1959. The greatest American collectors quickly counted among his clients.

Part of his collection was sold in these rooms, 29 October 1993, and highlight his particular taste for neoclassicism and more specifically for mahogany furniture. The Stephenson Collection featured many pieces of this exciting moment in the history of taste.
