FOLLOWER OF GIAMBOLOGNA (1529-1608), ITALIAN, FIRST HALF 17TH CENTURY

Another cast of this rare composition is in the Metropolitan Museum, New York (inv. no. 32.100.196a-c) which James Draper attributes to a follower of Giambologna. Interestingly, it was used as a model for a pietre dure panel in a console (private collection, Florence).
