The present example is offered by a prominent Italian collector in absolutely new-old-stock condition, still retaining the protective plastic stickers to the case and bracelet.

When Rolex resurrected the historical Milgauss line at Basel ’07, the model was acclaimed by critics and market alike. The green glass version – or “Vetro Verde” as it is known to Italian collectors – soon became a cult model. The inspiration from the historical Milgauss models are obvious. The case is highly reminiscent of reference 1019, while the dial layout, most notably the “thunderbolt” hand, is a legacy of the first references 6543 and 6541. Due to its appeal and commercial success, it is highly difficult to find an example in such absolutely pristine condition as the one offered today.
