專家說明

This bureau derives from Guillaume Benneman's celebrated model executed in 1787 for the library of Louis XVI at Compiègne, although the present example is fitted with caissons. The popular model was frequently copied and reinterpreted by many eminent ébénistes of the 19th century, including Emmanuel Alfred Beurdeley and François Linke. The original now resides in the Louvre.
