To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus, Patek Philippe released the reference 5711/1A in 2006 to great acclaim. Made in homage to the original “Jumbo” reference 3700/1A, the 5711/1A draws striking similarities in design to its original inspiration but also offers a modern update that has made this watch one of the most desirable of all current production watches. When the 5711/1A was released, it was an instant success at a retail price of $17,000. The new version featured a case size 1mm. larger than its predecessor, and a three-part rather than a two-part case.

It is estimated that less than 3000 examples of this reference have been made and only a small handful have been made bearing the signature of Tiffany & Co. The presently offered watch represents the only known example to be offered sealed in its original packaging.
