The present model was produced to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak collection. The case of this watch is crafted of a new special alloy known as the Alacrite 602, a material often found in the use of aero-technology and medical application. This model was made in a limited series of 150 examples introduced to the market between year 2002 and 2004.
