專家說明

The present commode is a faithful replica of the original by Jean-Henri Riesener supplied in 1776 to Louis XVI for his cabinet intérieur at Fontainebleau. Like many of the most famous models created for the Ancien Régime, this commode was reproduced by some of the 19th century's preeminent ébénistes including Henry Dasson and François Linke. Although apparently unsigned, the present commode is a fine example dating to the last quarter of the 19th century.
