This stunning watch is a unique piece and is offered for the first time here at Christie's. It is furthermore in excellent condition.

The present watch incorporates two of the most complicated horological mechanisms - a tourbillon and a minute repeater which captures the sound of the Palace of Westminster chimes. The flying tourbillon carriage appears to be floating above the plates, making the watch an aesthetic success. The pink gold case, which guarantees excellent sound transmission, comprises a highly sophisticated mechanism. It serves as a resonance chamber for the four gongs that reproduce the four notes in the tune of the Westminster Chimes. The gongs are fixed around the movement and welded to the gong heels. One of them is directly in contact with the sapphire crystal at 9 o'clock to ensure that the tunes are amplified. When the repeating mechanism is activated, the four gongs will resemble the chime of the bells of the Palace of Westminster. The bezel and the crown are lavishly set with diamonds, making this example one of the most sought-after Harry Winston watches in today's market.
